Safe Space
A dedicated safe space providing comprehensive support services for survivors of SGBV, offering psychosocial support, medical referrals, and legal assistance in a confidential and secure environment.
Health & Protection
In its ongoing commitment to promoting holistic well-being and addressing the unique needs of vulnerable populations, Explore Aid conducted a series of health facility-level sensitization sessions.
Partnership
As part of the ongoing project implemented by Explore Aid with funding support from the Global Initiative Against Impunity and co-funding from the European Union, the organization engaged the Borno State Police Command.
Reintegration
With funding support from the Global Initiative Against Impunity and co-funding from the European Union, Explore Aid implemented a community engagement program across Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe States to strengthen support for the reintegration of returnee women and girl survivors of sexual and gender based violence, including children born of war.
Child Protection
Explore Aid's commitment to holistic child protection, development and well-being extends to the establishment of Child-Friendly Spaces (CFS) in conflict-affected regions. Our CFS serves as a haven of safety, learning, and emotional support for children amidst adversity.
Gender Justice
As part of the research project funded by the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), Explore Aid implemented an engagement initiative that brought together survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) as key advocates for transitional gender justice in conflict-affected communities.
MHPSS
In collaboration with the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Explore Aid embarked on a transformative three-day Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) and Psychological First Aid training.
Early Childhood
In a bid to enhance early childhood development (ECD) practices and promote holistic growth among children in conflict-affected regions, Explore Aid conducted a comprehensive three-day training program.
Child Health
Explore Aid embarked on a pivotal initiative, the Play for Health and Development (P4HD) project, aimed at promoting holistic child development in conflict-affected regions.
Peacebuilding
Explore Aid convened 100 women and girls, including SGBV survivors, to document and analyze the barriers they face in participating in peacebuilding and transitional justice processes, and to examine how climate change undermines their engagement.
GBV Response
In collaboration with the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Sub-sector, Explore Aid conducted a comprehensive three-day training program focused on GBV case management. Designed for project staff and volunteers, this training aimed to enhance participants' capacity to effectively respond to GBV incidents within their communities.
