Explore Aid is dedicated to improving access to essential humanitarian and development interventions to communities in need around the world.
Explore Aid is a Nigerian civil society organization dedicated to practical, evidence-grounded solutions for people living through conflict and fragility in the North-East and other underserved regions.
We design and deliver integrated programs across health, WASH, nutrition, education, protection including GBV and child protection, food security and livelihoods, access to justice, economic empowerment, and the environment.
Our approach is survivor centered, locally led, and rooted in rigorous research and continuous learning so that assistance reflects expressed community needs, not assumptions. We mobilize and train community structures, strengthen accountability to affected populations, and work alongside government ministries, traditional and religious leaders, and a broad network of CSOs to scale what works. By turning data into action, we help women, girls, children, and other vulnerable groups regain dignity, access services, and build sustainable pathways to recovery and resilience.
A society where people affected by conflict and poverty are safe, healthy, respected, and economically empowered to lead their own social and community development.
A Nigeria where every community has equitable access to essential WASH resources, enabling healthy, productive lives and sustainable development for all citizens, regardless of location or socioeconomic status.
We are guided by honesty, integrity, and respect for every individual; we operate with transparency and accountability; we advance equality and gender sensitivity across all programs; and we foster innovation while ensuring value for money so every naira delivers measurable, sustainable outcomes.
From humble beginnings to making a significant impact across Nigeria
Launched our evidence-first model in Borno, defined core program pillars across health, WASH, education, protection including GBV, livelihoods, environment, access to justice, and economic empowerment.
Supported community based research project and child protection interventions, while advancing landmark studies on child reintegration frameworks and survivor-centered transitional justice.
Produced multiple research evidence that informed programming for our donors and partners while also generating new insights linking climate impacts with barriers to women and girls inclusion (inclusion of survivors of SGBV), reconciliation and sustainable peace.
Secured a multi-state transitional justice program with new safe spaces, direct GBV case management, an expanded E-Nexus referral system, and a CSO coalition driving policy domestication across the BAY states in Nigeria.
